Position Overview

Salem Hospital is seeking a full-time, board-certified/board-eligible Emergency Medicine Physician to join our dynamic Emergency Department team. What You’ll Do

  • Provide comprehensive emergency medical care to patients across the lifespan in a high-acuity, fast-paced setting.

  • Deliver exceptional patient-centered care in collaboration with advanced practice providers, nurses, specialists, and multidisciplinary care teams.

  • Evaluate, diagnose, and manage a wide range of emergent and urgent medical conditions.

  • Perform emergency procedures consistent with scope of practice and training.

  • Participate in quality improvement, patient safety, and clinical innovation initiatives.

  • Contribute to departmental operations, including throughput optimization and evidence-based protocol development.

  • Engage in teaching and mentoring opportunities for medical students and residents as applicable.

  • Foster a culture of respect, teamwork, equity, and inclusion within the department.


Qualifications

  • MD or DO from an accredited medical school.

  • Board-certified or board-eligible in Emergency Medicine (ABEM/AOBEM).

  • Eligible for medical licensure in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

  • Demonstrated commitment to high-quality, evidence-based care.

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
