Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Board Certification in Cardiology
• Valid medical license for the State of North Carolina
• Minimum of 1-2 years of post-residency experience in cardiology
• Strong proficiency in basic cardiology procedures and patient management
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced hospital environment
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic medical records system

Nice to Have Skills:

• Experience with adult outpatient and inpatient cardiology services
• Familiarity with advanced cardiac diagnostics and treatments
• Additional certifications in advanced cardiovascular life support (ACLS) or related areas
• Bilingual abilities are a plus

Preferred Education and Experience:

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
• Proven track record of effective cardiology practice within hospital settings
• Relevant experience in a busy hospital environment with adult patient populations

Other Requirements:

• Work shifts include night hours, with a 4-day schedule weekly (Sunday to Thursday), involving 10-14 hour overnight shifts
• Willingness to work holiday shifts at 1.5x hourly pay rate
• No relocation or licensing required beyond initial certification
• Credentialing timeframe approximately 60-90 days
