Overview
We are seeking a committed Pediatrician to provide exceptional clinic-based care in a fast-paced, community-focused setting. The provider will be responsible for seeing approximately 25 patients per day within a structured schedule of Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., with flexibility for lunch breaks. This role requires no hospital privileges; providers can start promptly once access is established. The position offers the potential for a transition from locum to permanent employment for those interested. The clinic operates in a high-demand, socioeconomically challenged environment, emphasizing compassionate, efficient care.
Required Skills
- Active California medical license and CA DEA registration
- Board Certified or Board Eligible within 5 years of Residency completion
- BLS certification
- Ability to manage a busy outpatient pediatric clinic
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Nice to Have Skills
- Bilingual in Spanish (preferred, but not required)
- Experience working in high-demand community clinics
- Familiarity with managing no-show patients and flexible scheduling
Preferred Education and Experience
- MD or DO degree from an accredited institution
- Pediatric residency training completed within the last 5 years
- Prior clinical experience in community or underserved settings
Other Requirements
- Willingness to work 5 days a week, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- No call responsibilities; solely clinic-based work
- Provision of locums-to-permanent interest is advantageous
