Saint Alphonsus Medical Group (SAMG) is a 650+ provider multispecialty group practice seeking a BC/BE Physician committed to a multi-disciplinary team approach to patient care in an Urgent Care (UC) setting.  Clinical expectations include management of acute illness & injuries, sports physicals, and acute occupational medicine injuries and issues, et al. 

Additionally, the Urgent Care Medical Director is the leader of the Urgent Care provider group and is involved in all operational needs regarding patient care quality, patient experience and standardization, recruitment of Urgent Care Advanced Practice Providers, chart reviews, ongoing UC provider education and training, and is a participant in urgent care strategy development for the medical group. 

The Urgent Care Medical Director also has the opportunity to provide leadership and quality care for specific acute concerns through an innovative program called MyeVisit, a telehealth program created at Saint Alphonsus to reach patients in their homes via smartphone, tablet or PC. 

The qualified candidate will exude passion about health issues and demonstrate evidence of comprehensive assessment skills, expert clinical skills and problem-solving abilities, as well as leadership and engagement in clinic operations and supporting a team of dedicated providers and colleagues. This position is located at our Urgent Care clinics, on and off campus (12 locations spanning the Boise Metro area). It is a Full Time; 0.60 FTE clinical, 0.4 FTE administrative. The schedule for this role varies; Monday - Sunday, 12 hour shifts.  80 hrs. per pay period, no call required. 

Requirements:

  • Current, unrestricted MD or DO medical license in Idaho and Oregon
  • Valid controlled substance registration with Idaho and Oregon Board of Pharmacy and DEA
  • A strong medical background in urgent care or emergency room setting, and a desire to provide acute care and leadership to support a growing multi-specialty medical group.
