Required Skills:

• Board Certification or Eligibility in Gastroenterology
• Proven expertise in outpatient gastroenterology procedures
• Proficiency in performing and interpreting esophageal dilatations, manometry, biopsies, colonoscopies, and ERCP
• Strong knowledge of adult hospital and office/clinic settings
• Excellent communication and patient management skills
• Experience with Epic EMR is preferred

Nice to Have Skills:

• Experience with advanced procedures such as Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS) and PEG placement
• Prior hospital call coverage experience
• Ability to perform hepatology-related procedures
• Familiarity with managing complex gastrointestinal cases

Preferred Education and Experience:

• MD or DO degree from an accredited institution
• Valid medical license in Virginia or ability to obtain licensure
• Minimum of 2 years of post-training clinical experience in gastroenterology

Other Requirements:

• Ability to commit to coverage beginning March 7, 2026, for a duration aligned with staffing needs
• Weekend hospital call coverage on Saturdays and Sundays
• Ability to provide a minimum of 8 procedures each weekend
• Credentialing timeframe approximately 90 days
• Compliance with all hospital and state licensing requirements
• Travel and lodging reimbursements provided (~$150/night lodging cap)

This opportunity offers a competitive hourly pay rate of $19.50, paid weekly via direct deposit, along with comprehensive benefits, paid sick leave, and a robust support team dedicated to your success.
