Hospitalist to join UNC Johnston, Smithfield, NC

UNC Health Johnston is looking for BC/BE hospitalist to join the growing Hospital Medicine program in Smithfield and Clayton, NC. Affiliated with UNC Rex, these positions involve delivering high-quality, team-based benefits including, quality bonus, CME, retirement plan and malpractice coverage.

Smithfield is located just thirty minutes from Raleigh, the vibrant state capital. We have great weather, a welcoming community, an energized downtown and a low cost of living. It's a mid-sized town with easy access to a city lifestyle, and a community hospital that's part of one of the country's top-rated health care systems, UNC Health.

Schedule: 7 days on and 7 days off (7am-7pm)

Requirements:

  • Graduated from an accredited Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathy school
  • Internal Medicine Residency preferred
  • BC/BE
  • 1 to 2 years’ experience

    Professional Experience Requirements:

    Prefer prior hospitalist experience.

    Knowledge/Skills/and Abilities Requirements:

    Language Skills: Should be able to communicate proficiently in English.

    REASONING ABILITY

    High-level quantitative and qualitative reasoning skills are essential in order to diagnose medical and clinical issues presented by patients.

    CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

    North Carolina Medical License, DEA License, BLS/ACLS certification preferred. Board-certified in Internal Medicine.
