Scenic, quaint town in Northeast Kansas is seeking a family medicine physician to join our group practice. The clinic is a modern, lifestyle-oriented practice adjacent to a 21-bed critical access hospital.

Position highlights:

  • Offering opportunity for OB, procedures, and minor surgery (dependent on training).
  • The physician will practice in both Clinic, ER, and Hospital based service lines (adult, pediatric, and obstetric).
  • Recently opened state-of-the-art Emergency Department and new OB suites.

Benefits:

  • Relocation allowance up to $7,500
  • Negotiable sign-on bonus half paid upon signing, other half following 30 days on the job (timing is also negotiable)
  • CME allowance of $3,000
  • Standard employment benefits package
  • Employer sponsored pension plan, as well as 457 retirement plan w/ up to 3% match.
  • 1–2-year guaranteed salary period, dependent on speed of patient panel increase. A production-based contract will replace the guaranteed compensation after 1-2 years or sooner if production exceeds guarantee.

Schedule:

  • Full time M-F, with ½ day off per week.
  • M-F hours are 8:30 to 5:00.
  • Overnight ER call for one weekday, if desired. One weekend out of five ER call.
  • 4 weeks PTO (includes vacation, sick and holiday).

About KRRC

The Kansas Recruitment and Retention Center (KRRC) partners with hospitals, private practices, community health centers, Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHC), and other organizations to help strengthen the health care workforce in rural and urban under resourced communities across the State. KRRC services are designed to assist Kansas communities in recruiting and retaining physicians, dentists, pharmacists, physician assistants, APRNs, nurses, dental hygienists, allied health professionals, and behavioral health professionals. In addition to offering recruitment support for Kansas health care facilities and job search support to a variety of health care providers, the KRRC offers resources for CV/resume building, interview prep, and contract negotiation.  

Currently partnering with 55+ health care organizations, we serve as their initial point of contact and liaison in recruiting those seeking to serve in rural and urban underserved communities.

The Team

Our hospital-employed position is part of a recently acquired independent practice that now consists of three advanced practice providers and four physicians. The team covers four Rural Health Clinics and a Critical Access Hospital, with an active OB Program.
