Urology Physician

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive general urology services, including consultations and procedural interventions such as stent placements, stone removals, and clot evacuations.
- Offer call coverage during assigned shifts, primarily from 7:00 AM Friday to 7:00 AM Monday.
- Manage a patient caseload typically involving 1-2 patients on Fridays and 5-10 consults daily on weekends, with occasional operative procedures.
- Collaborate with hospital staff to deliver high-quality care within the Cerner EMR system.
- Adapt to a flexible schedule supporting urgent and elective urological cases in a trauma hospital setting.
Required Skills:
- Board Certification in Urology.
- Valid state medical license or qualification for IMLC/temporary WV license.
- DEA certification.
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant urology experience.
- BLS and ACLS certifications.
- Ability to perform all general urological procedures required for adult patients.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently with minimal support during weekends.
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience in trauma or emergency urological care.
- Additional certifications in advanced procedures or subspecialties.
- Familiarity with Cerner EMR system.
- Previous work in hospital-based urology practice settings.
Preferred Education and Experience:
- MD or DO degree from an accredited institution.
- Completion of Urology residency training.
- Proven track record of working in busy, trauma-level hospital environments.
Other Requirements:
- Willingness to obtain licensing in West Virginia if not already licensed.
- Coverage includes scheduled weekends with 24-hour shifts.
