Key Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality outpatient primary care services to adult, geriatric, and pediatric patients.
• Manage an average of 22 patients per day in a supportive practice environment.
• Perform essential procedures such as suturing minor lacerations, incision and drainage, pelvic exams, and Pap smears.
• Utilize the Epic EMR system for efficient documentation and patient management.
• Collaborate with a team of healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care.
• Maintain compliance with all licensing, certification, and regulatory requirements.

Required Skills:

• Valid and unrestricted medical license applicable to Virginia.
• Board certification or eligibility in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine.
• Proven ability to handle adult and pediatric outpatient encounters efficiently.
• Proficient in minor outpatient procedures and documentation.
• Excellent communication skills and a compassionate bedside manner.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Nice to Have Skills:

• Experience working in a primary care setting with Epic EMR.
• Previous locum or temporary physician experience.
• Bilingual abilities to enhance patient communication.
• Familiarity with healthcare reimbursement processes.

Preferred Education and Experience:

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
• Completion of residency training in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine.
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical practice post-residency.
• Prior experience in outpatient primary care is preferred.

Other Requirements:

• Availability to start on March 13, 2026, with an estimated credentialing timeframe of 45-60 days.
• Ability to work 3 days per week.
• Willingness to provide coverage for a primary care practice in Colonial Heights, VA.
• Travel and accommodation reimbursements are available for qualified candidates.
