Required Skills:

• Valid medical license and board certification in Emergency Medicine
• Proven experience in emergency room settings
• Ability to perform rapid assessments and make decisive clinical decisions
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems, specifically Meditech 6.1
• NC Medicaid credentialed and enrolled in PECOS

Nice to Have Skills:

• Experience working with acute and trauma cases
• BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications
• Prior experience in a hospital with open ICU environments
• Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
• Minimum of 2 years of emergency medicine experience in a hospital setting
• Prior experience with solo ER coverage preferred

Other Requirements:

• Successful completion of background checks and credentialing
• Willingness to work 12-hour shifts on scheduled dates
• Housing provided in hospital-owned apartments
• Travel reimbursement capped at $500 when applicable
