The Veterans Affairs Medical Center (VAMC) in Oklahoma City, OK is seeking a Board-Certified, Fellowship-Trained Interventional Radiologist to provide full-scope IR services to an adult patient population. This is a long-term, stable opportunity with a 1-year base contract and up to 4 additional option years, offering a consistent schedule and advanced procedural work.

Schedule & Call

  • Schedule: Monday – Friday | 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
  • Call: Average 1:3 rotation

Practice Details

  • Patient Population: Adult-only
  • EMR: CPRS

Procedural Scope

Physicians will provide full-scope Interventional Radiology procedures, including but not limited to:

Arterial Procedures

  • PTA, stents, thrombolysis
  • Embolization, TACE
  • Stent grafts
  • Foreign body removal

Venous Procedures

  • TIPS
  • Thrombectomy
  • IVC filters
  • Portal vein embolization
  • Venous access

Additional Procedures

  • Tunneled and non-tunneled catheter placements
  • Full range of IR procedures per ACR guidelines

Requirements

  • Board Certified – Interventional Radiology
  • Fellowship trained in IR (required)
  • BLS & ACLS certifications
  • DEA required
  • Any active U.S. state license accepted

Additional Clinical Requirements

  • Moderate sedation competency required
  • MRI safety compliance required
  • Fluoroscopy safety compliance required

Credentialing

  • Timeframe: ~8–10 weeks
