How you'll make an impact in this role

Ascension St. John is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Family Medicine physician to join our growing primary care team in Caney, KS. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a collaborative, community-focused group dedicated to delivering compassionate, patient-centered care.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide medical services to patients in an assigned area.
  • Evaluate and treat patients with appropriate medical diagnostic and treatment skills.
  • Recommend, participate in, and work to ensure the success of efforts to improve cost effectiveness and quality of care provided to patients.
  • Participate in academic programs (eg medical education and research) as requested.
  • Provide appropriate documentation that meets insurance company requirements. Appeal all denials in a timely manner.
  • Opportunity to participate in inpatient and outpatient consultation for specialty, which may include on call schedules.

What minimum qualifications you'll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  • Physician MD/DO with Prescriptive Authority credentialed from the Oklahoma Board of Medical Licensure and Supervision obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
  • Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Education:

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) required.
