Required Skills:
- Board Certification in Neurosurgery
- Active California Medical License and DEA registration
- Fluoroscopy (Fluoro) certification (including temporary fluoro)
- Proven experience with complex spine surgeries
- Ability to perform confidently in high-pressure situations
- Strong clinical documentation and communication skills
- Commitment to patient safety and quality care
Nice to Have Skills:
- Prior experience with hospital privileging processes
- Familiarity with complex spine pathways and surgical techniques
- Bilingual abilities or additional language proficiency
- Experience working in high-volume or academic settings
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Board Certified Neurosurgeon
- 2+ years of current hospital clinical activity within the specialty
- Recent case logs demonstrating active surgical practice
- Experience with complex spine procedures
Other Requirements:
- Scheduled coverage from April 30 – May 5 and June 1 – June 8, 2026, with potential additional dates
- Responsible for clinic coverage, day and night call (including weekends)
- Availability for on-call duties from 8:30 AM to 8:30 AM (night call)
- Coverage includes complex spine work, with no airway certifications required
- Must submit documentation of 100 cases within the past 24 months for privileging
- Privileging process duration approximately 90 days, with timely submission of all application materials
- Willingness to travel as needed to different facilities
- Daily hours guaranteed at 8 hours; overtime after 9 hours (billed separately)
This position offers a competitive hourly pay rate of $1.00, with weekly pay via direct deposit, comprehensive medical benefits (W-2), and a robust referral bonus program.
