HSHS Medical Group, a growing multispecialty network of 350+ providers across 60 clinics in central and southern Illinois, is seeking five full-time Gastroenterologists to build a brand-new GI service line at our Springfield location. Affiliated with Hospital Sisters Health System (HSHS)—a non-profit, faith-based integrated healthcare system with 13 hospitals across Illinois and Wisconsin—this opportunity combines advanced clinical care with a collaborative, mission-driven environment.

Position Details

• Patient Contact: 36 hours/week, plus 4 hours administrative time.
• EMR: EPIC (all aspects).
• Call: After-hours clinic call filtered through a triage service; hospital consults as needed. Paid additional call for over 7 days/month hospital coverage.
• Schedule: Split between clinic and endoscopy suite; telemedicine not offered.

Requirements

• Board Certified/Eligible in Gastroenterology
• Accepting all years of experience
• Visas:  H1B sponsorship considered
• Must live within 30 minutes of Springfield, IL
• CV submission required

Compensation & Benefits

• Base Salary: $750,000 2-year guarantee; transitions to productivity model after 2 years ($68/wRVU, reevaluated annually)
• Relocation Assistance: $10,000 + additional $15,000 if purchasing a home within 30 minutes of hospital
• Loan Repayment: PSLF eligible; stipend for fellows available
• CME: $5,000 annually + 5 CME days
• Vacation & Holidays: 20 days personal/sick + 6 holidays (increasing with tenure)
• Full Benefits: Medical, dental, retirement plans, malpractice coverage with tail
