Required Skills:
- Board Certification (BC) or BE in Urology
- PA License (preferred for faster onboarding)
- DEA certification
- Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in urology
- Strong surgical skills including cystoscopy, prostate procedures, ureteroscopy, vasectomy, and related surgeries
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
- Familiarity with EMR systems, specifically EPIC
- Ability to manage a diverse patient population over 18, with occasional pediatric support
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience with robotic surgery and operating in a hospital setting
- Ability to supervise Advanced Practice Providers (NPs/PAs)
- Skilled in complex procedures such as vasectomy reversal, penile implants, lithotripsy, and orchiopexy
- Experience working with trauma patients, including emergency torsion cases
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Board-certified or board-eligible in Urology
- At least 1 year of post-residency Urology practice
- Prior experience with hospital-based surgical procedures and multidisciplinary team collaboration
Other Requirements:
- Active PA License (recommended for expedited credentialing)
- Willingness to work 24-hour call shifts, including weekends and holidays, as per schedule
- Ability to attest to credentialing process within approximately 90 days
- Availability to support OB cases on rare occasions when called upon
- Travel and licensure reimbursements (if applicable)
- Support Staff: Office/Clinic team includes 4 Medical Assistants, 1 Clinical Support Assistant, and 1 RN
- Facility equipped with cystoscopy towers, injections tools, and 16 operating rooms across York Hospital and Apple Hill Surgery centers
Compensation:
Hourly Pay Rate: $443.43
