Job Description
- Specialty:
- Emergency Medicine
- Looking for ABEM or ABFM/ABIM w/ 2+ years of experience
- Coverage Needs:
- Need ASAP - Ongoing for 6+ months
- Must be able to cover 7+ shifts per month
- Shifts:
- 7a-7p OR 7p-7a
- Setting:
- Acute-care community hospital
- Level III trauma care capability
- Handles moderate trauma cases
- Regularly manages Stroke alerts, Cardiac emergencies, critical care stabilization
- Census:
- 42 ED beds
- 24k annual volume
- Average 66 ED patients per day
- Support Staff:
- 10 hours/day NP/PA coverage
- Procedures:
- All Standard ER procedures
- EMR:
- Meditech
- Board Certification:
- Board Certified Required
- Travel:
- Hospital will cover
- Credentialing timeline:
- Will fast track for ASAP start
- Requirements:
- Active LA state license
- Active DEA and CDS in LA or willing to transfer
- ATLS, ACLS
