Outpatient Internal Medicine - Venice, Florida

Sarasota Memorial First Physicians Group is looking to employ an Internal Medicine and/or Family Medicine physician for their growing employed physician group. This opportunity is located in Venice, Florida. 

Venice is just south of Sarasota, along Florida’s Gulf Coast and offers 14 miles of beaches, fishing, boating, shelling, and fossilized shark’s teeth can be found in abundance by sifting through the sand.  Golfers enjoy many excellent courses in the greater Venice area. The area is known for the arts, great restaurants, nationally recognized beaches, excellent schools and a wide variety of activities for all ages.

Sarasota Memorial Hospital-Venice (SMH-Venice) is a full-service, acute-care hospital. Opened in November 2021, the 65-acre campus serves South Sarasota County with a 24/7 emergency care center (61 beds), over 200 private patient suites, and comprehensive specialized care, including cardiology, orthopedics, and maternity services.  The campus features a 2-story medical office building and is rapidly expanding, with a new 4-story rehabilitation pavilion opening in early 2028 and a new outpatient endoscopy center planned to open in fall 2027. 

Practice Information:

• Join an established, busy group of 5 physicians and 2 APPs
• Brand-new office space designed for efficiency and comfort
• Outpatient only, the Medical Hospitalist group will cover inpatients. 
• See 18–20 patients/day once established
• Monday–Friday, 8–5 schedule
• Light call: 1:13 rotation
• EPIC EMR Launching 10.3.2026

• Contract includes a 2-year guaranteed base salary. Physicians can transition to a generous pay model after 2 years.
