Pediatric Hospitalist – Permanent Full-Time Position

Overview:

Pediatrix Medical Group is seeking a qualified, full-time Pediatric Hospitalist to join our esteemed pediatric care team at Renown Regional Medical Center. This opportunity offers an exceptional environment to deliver high-quality inpatient pediatric care within a Level II Trauma Center, supported by strong subspecialty services and an academic affiliation with the University of Nevada, Reno School of Medicine. Position Responsibilities:
  • Provide comprehensive inpatient pediatric care in a 30-bed ward, managing an average daily census of 16-18 patients.
  • Conduct newborn nursery examinations, ensuring optimal neonatal assessment and care.
  • Perform pediatric consultations within the Emergency Department, collaborating with emergency physicians to deliver timely and effective interventions.
  • Work closely with a multidisciplinary team, including subspecialists, intensivists, and nursing staff, to coordinate patient care.
  • Oversee care in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU), staffed by dedicated pediatric intensivists, for critically ill children.
  • Contribute to educational initiatives by teaching pediatric residents and medical students, fostering the next generation of physicians.
  • Engage in an academic environment through affiliation with the University of Nevada, Reno School of Medicine.
  • Ensure delivery of patient-centered, high-quality pediatric care aligned with Pediatrix standards and best practices.
  • Maintain active medical licensure in the state of Nevada; residency within the local area is required. Relocation assistance may be provided.

Qualifications:
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatrics.
  • Valid medical license to practice in Nevada.
  • Excellent clinical and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Commitment to providing compassionate, patient-focused care.

Compensation and Benefits:
  • Competitive salary range of $190,000 to $230,000, commensurate with experience and training.
