Required Skills:
- Current and valid North Carolina medical license
- Active NC DEA license with NC address
- Must be enrolled in PECOS as a provider
- NC Medicaid Credential and enrollment in NC Medicaid/North Carolina Medicare
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology
- No recent or open malpractice cases
- Fully vaccinated against COVID-19
- Demonstrated experience delivering babies, with case logs from the past 24 months
- Strong procedural skills including emergent C-sections and GYN procedures
- Ability to work on a 24-hour call schedule, including weekends and holidays
- Excellent communication and team collaboration skills
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience in high-risk obstetrics
- Familiarity with transfer protocols for high-risk patients
- Previous work in hospitalist or acute care settings
- Ability to perform complex GYN procedures
- Bilingual capabilities
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
- Residency completion in Obstetrics and Gynecology
- A minimum of 2 years of practice experience in a hospital environment
- Proven track record in high-risk obstetric care and emergency procedures
Other Requirements:
- Must be within 20 minutes of the hospital premises in accordance with bylaws
- Willingness to round on patients, handle emergent gynecological procedures, and participate in on-call duties
- Travel reimbursements capped at $500 for mileage, rental cars, gas, or airfare
- Ability to provide detailed case logs and respond to all pre-application questions promptly
