About the Role

Duke University School of Medicine is seeking a Clinical Psychologist to provide evidence-based care for adult patients across a variety of clinical settings. This role supports innovative programs focused on improving access to mental health services— including services for Duke employees and their families—in a collaborative, interdisciplinary environment.

What You’ll Do

  • Provide psychological assessment and treatment for diverse adult populations
  • Deliver evidence-based care with a focus on access, efficiency, and outcomes
  • Collaborate with psychiatrists, social workers, and interdisciplinary teams
  • Participate in case discussions and shared clinical decision-making
  • Contribute to program development and quality improvement initiatives
  • Support a positive, team-oriented clinical environment

What We’re Looking For

  • PhD or PsyD in Clinical Psychology (APA-accredited program)
  • Completed APA-accredited internship
  • Licensed or license-eligible in North Carolina
  • Experience treating adult mental health conditions (e.g., mood, anxiety disorders)
  • Comfort managing complex clinical presentations

Preferred Experience:

  • ADHD, sleep disorders, eating disorders, substance use, trauma, OCD
  • Psychological assessment of complex cases
  • Experience in employee health services, treating healthcare professionals, or working in academic medical environments is highly valued.
