Required Skills:

• Board Certification in Gastroenterology
• Valid medical license and DEA registration
• Minimum of 2 years’ clinical experience in gastroenterology
• Proficiency in performing colonoscopies and EGDs
• Strong understanding of inpatient care protocols
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team

Nice to Have Skills:

• Experience working with Epic EMR system
• Additional certifications in advanced endoscopic procedures
• Previous exposure to hospital-based practice environments
• Bilingual abilities to support diverse patient populations

Preferred Education and Experience:

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
• Completion of a fellowship in Gastroenterology
• At least 2 years of post-fellowship clinical practice in a hospital setting

Other Requirements:

• Willingness to work scheduled shifts on a 2-week on, 2-week off basis (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, 7:30 am – 5:00 pm)
• Ability to manage an inpatient caseload with 10-11 patients daily
• Compliance with all credentialing and licensing requirements, expected within 90 days
• Ability to work with Epic EMR system and adhere to hospital protocols
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred
