Emergency Medicine Physician

Required Skills:

• Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree.
• State medical license in good standing.
• Board certification or eligibility in Emergency Medicine.
• NC Medicaid credentialed and enrolled in PECOS (must be submitted with application).
• Proficiency with Meditech 6.1 EMR.
• Ability to perform solo emergency room coverage during 12-hour shifts.
• Strong clinical assessment, decision-making, and communication skills.
• Familiarity with open ICU protocols and management.
• Commitment to patient-centered care and teamwork.

Nice to Have Skills:

• Previous experience in high-volume emergency departments.
• Additional certifications such as ACLS, ATLS, PALS.
• Experience with hospital-owned housing accommodations.
• Bilingual abilities for diverse patient populations.

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Graduates from accredited medical schools.
• At least 2 years of ER clinical experience preferred.
• Prior experience with Medicaid populations is advantageous.

Other Requirements:

• Must be NC Medicaid credentialed and enrolled in PECOS.
• Availability to work scheduled shifts from July 4th through July 7th, 2026, with open date starting July 4.
• Willingness to travel with reimbursements capped at $500, if applicable.
• Must adhere to all applicable licensure, certification, and hospital policies.
