Key Responsibilities:
- Provide in-house coverage for a Level 3 NICU, including attending C-sections and transferring neonates as needed.
- Cover scheduled shifts primarily from 7 pm to 7 am with in-house call responsibilities.
- Manage a patient census averaging 0 to 4 admissions per day, with approximately 12 patients per shift.
- Utilize Cerner/Ecare/PowerChart EMR systems for documentation.
- Participate in ongoing clinical care, including attending C-sections and neonate transfers.
Required Skills:
- BC or truly BE in Neonatology.
- Completion of Neonatology fellowship.
- Current BLS, NRP certifications.
- Ability to obtain Michigan medical licensure (licenses in hand required).
- Proficiency in managing Level 3 NICU patients, including attending C-sections and neonatal transfers.
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience managing a Level 3 NICU environment.
- Familiarity with Cerner/Ecare/PowerChart EMR systems.
- Prior experience with high-acuity neonatal care.
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neonatology.
- Previous experience in a Level 3 NICU setting.
- Demonstrated ability to work efficiently in high-pressure situations.
Other Requirements:
- Michigan medical license (licensure in hand, no need to obtain anew).
- Valid BLS, NRP certifications.
- Availability for scheduled shifts and ongoing coverage as needed.
- Mileage reimbursement provided; other travel expenses are not covered.
- Credentialing timeframe is approximately 90-120 days, with urgent need for temporary providers.
