Residential Treatment Medical Director | Part-time Residential Psychiatrist | Columbia, South Carolina


We are seeking a part-time General or Child/Adolescent Psychiatrist to serve as Medical Director at Three Rivers Midlands in Columbia, SC. This role offers a flexible schedule, with a hybrid option for the right candidate. The Medical Director will have both direct patient clinical care and administrative responsibilities. This position offers an opportunity to work with a collegial, highly trained clinical team dedicated to quality patient care and treatment outcomes.

  • Employment Type: Hospital Employed or Independent Contractor
  • Schedule / Hours: Part-time, 20-25 per week, a hybrid schedule may be an option
  • Location: Columbia, South Carolina
  • Practice Setting: 64-bed residential facility for children and adolescents, 6-21 years of age with diverse behavioral health and substance-use treatment issues.
  • Support / Care Team: Patient care is provided in a multidisciplinary treatment setting. The work environment is collegial and there is great support in all clinical and administrative operations of the facility.

Responsibilities

  • Direct patient care includes initial evaluations and assessments, treatment team leadership and care of patients under assignment.
  • Supervision of clinical staff.
  • Program development, quality improvement initiatives, risk management.

Required Qualifications

  • Board Certified, fellowship trained Child/Adolescent Psychiatrist or General Psychiatrist with experience.
  • South Carolina Medical License or ability to obtain
