General Cardiologist

Shore Regional Health, a member of the University of Maryland Medical System (UMMS), is seeking a Board-Certified/Board-Eligible General Cardiologist to join a well-established, high-volume practice with over 45 years of service.

This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a collaborative, physician-led team providing comprehensive cardiovascular care in both inpatient and outpatient settings.


Practice Details

  • Established cardiology group with strong referral base
  • Team includes:
    • 6 General Cardiologists
    • 3 Interventional Cardiologists
    • 7 Advanced Practice Providers
  • Monday–Friday schedule (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM)
  • Inpatient & outpatient mix
  • Call: 1:6 rotation
    • ~6 weekdays/month
    • 1 weekend every 5–6 weeks

Clinical Responsibilities

  • Interpretation of echocardiograms, EKGs, stress tests, and Zio monitoring
  • Provide consultations and comprehensive cardiac care
  • Practice includes:
    • Nuclear Cardiology
    • Echocardiography
    • Pacemaker Clinic
    • Heart Failure Clinic
  • Support primary angioplasty program with interventional team
  • Collaborate with 24/7 in-house intensivist coverage

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base Salary: $556,470
    • Based on MGMA and SullivanCotter benchmarks
    • Commensurate with experience and training
  • Sign-on options (choose one):
    • $20,000–$25,000 bonus OR
    • $50,000 housing allowance (year one)
  • Relocation assistance up to $10,000
  • Competitive production bonus
  • Comprehensive benefits package

Qualifications

  • MD or DO
  • Board Certified/Eligible in Cardiology
  • Maryland medical license (or eligibility)
  • DEA certification
