Hematology/Oncology Physician

Required Skills:
  • Board Certification in Hematology and/or Oncology, or pending exam completion
  • Valid Virginia State Medical License or eligibility to obtain one
  • Certified in BLS; ACLS preferred
  • DEA certification active and maintained
  • Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in hematology/oncology practice
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Proficiency with EMR systems, specifically EPIC Beacon

Nice to Have Skills:
  • Experience with infusions and outpatient infusion center management
  • Prior work in multidisciplinary oncology teams
  • Additional certifications in palliative care or related fields
  • Familiarity with radiation oncology procedures

Preferred Education and Experience:
  • MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
  • Residency/fellowship training in Hematology/Oncology
  • At least 1 year of outpatient hematology/oncology clinical practice

Other Requirements:
  • Must pass comprehensive background screening with a clean record
  • Willingness to work 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM, Monday through Thursday, with additional Friday clinics every 3rd week
  • Support call coverage every 3 weeks, including night, 24-hour, and weekend shifts, with compensation in line with billing rates
  • Willingness to travel as required and complete licensure and credentialing processes efficiently (~60-90 days)
