The Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Science (OVS) at the University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB Health) is proud of its rich tradition of service, education, and research excellence as one of the first academic groups established in the Southwest. Today we have a robust clinical team of primary eye doctors that provide routine eye care and vision support, as well as subspecialists managing pediatrics, cornea, glaucoma, retina, uveitis, neuro-ophthalmology, and oculoplastic conditions. Annual patient volumes exceed 55,000 and over 3,300 surgeries. The four Eye Centers located throughout Galveston County are equipped with the latest technology to deliver top-notch care.

The Department is seeking a highly motivated Cornea Specialist to join the team to meet the increasing patient care needs in a rapidly growing region in Texas.
