General Cardiologist

Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible General Cardiologist to join our growing cardiovascular team in the Greater Austin area, with a primary practice location in Pflugerville, just minutes from downtown Austin.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated cardiologist to join a well-supported, collegial practice within one of the largest not-for-profit healthcare systems in Texas. Both experienced physicians and new graduates are encouraged to apply.
Position Highlights:
Practice Type: Noninvasive/General Cardiology
Location: Greater Austin area (Pflugerville-based practice)
Call Schedule: Approximately 1:4 (q4)
Light overnight call, handled remotely
Clinical Focus: Outpatient and inpatient consultative cardiology
No primary admitting service
24/7 hospitalist team manages admissions
Clinical Responsibilities
Comprehensive cardiology care including:
2D Echocardiography
Stress Echocardiography
Exercise and Pharmacologic Stress Testing
Transesophageal Echocardiography (TEE)
Inpatient consultative cardiology services only
Pacemaker implant skills welcome (but optional)
Collaborative care with:
Invasive cardiology team
On-site cardiac catheterization laboratory
Practice Environment:
Established and growing cardiology program within BSWH
In-house cath lab providing full interventional support
APP support can be considered with practice growth
Strong referral network and built-in patient base
Integrated system with robust EMR and operational infrastructure

QUALIFICATIONS:
Doctorate Degree in Medicine, MD or DO
Licensed to Practice Medicine in the state of Texas by the Texas Medical Board by start date
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Cardiovascular Disease
Where applicable, the employee must be board certified in their specialty. Alternatively, they must show effective pursuit of board certification as defined by the appropriate specialty board of the American Board of Medical Specialties or the Bureau of Osteopathic Specialists.
