The Kansas Recruitment and Retention Center (KRRC) partners with hospitals, private practices, community health centers, Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHC), and other organizations to help strengthen the health care workforce in rural and urban under resourced communities across the State. KRRC services are designed to assist Kansas communities in recruiting and retaining physicians, dentists, pharmacists, physician assistants, APRNs, nurses, dental hygienists, allied health professionals, and behavioral health professionals. In addition to offering recruitment support for Kansas health care facilities and job search support to a variety of health care providers, the KRRC offers resources for CV/resume building, interview prep, and contract negotiation.
Currently partnering with 55+ health care organizations, we serve as their initial point of contact and liaison in recruiting those seeking to serve in rural and urban underserved communities.
We are a family of organizations serving the mental health needs of our community and beyond. While each organization provides their own services, we all share the same values, the same vision, and the same purpose: to help people with mental health needs thrive. We hold CARF International accreditation for our Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) and outpatient programs.
The ACT team delivers continuous, community-based care for adults living with serious and persistent mental illnesses such as schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, or major depression. The interdisciplinary team includes psychiatrists, nurses, case managers, therapists, and peer support staff working together to provide wraparound care where clients live and work, with services extending beyond therapy to daily living, employment, and wellness goals. We accept Medicaid, Medicare, and private insurance, and offers services on a reduced-fee or no-cost basis based on clinical need.
Located at the heart of a major metro area, this vibrant community sits just across a state line from its larger neighbor and is home to approximately 157,000 residents. Residents enjoy the best of both worlds: a tight-knit urban community with affordable housing and a lower cost of living, combined with easy access to everything the broader metro offers- major-league sports, a nationally recognized food and arts scene, and a growing healthcare and technology economy. The county is also set to become home to a new NFL stadium beginning in 2031, reflecting major ongoing investment in the area's future. For clinicians drawn to mission-driven work in an underserved urban community, this location offers a rare combination of professional purpose and metropolitan quality of life.
