Optometrist Opportunity in Greenville, NC

ECU Health Physicians and ECU Health Ophthalmology-Greenville, located in Greenville, North Carolina, are seeking a full-time optometrist to join their expanding practice. Completion of residency training is preferred.

Clinical Responsibilities:

  • Perform comprehensive eye exams and additional specialized testing and therapy as indicated for new and established patients
  • Diagnose and assist in the treatment of ocular disease; conduct diabetic eye exams and evaluation of dry eye disease, cataracts and glaucoma
  • Order and interpret diagnostic images such as corneal topography and tomography, fluorescein angiography, specular microscopy, corneal pachymetry, anterior and posterior segment OCT, ocular photography, and other special study instruments
  • Prescribe corrective spectacles and contact lenses
  • Provide pre- and post-operative care to surgical patients
  • Conduct low vision evaluations
  • Triage and handle urgent eye concerns and emergencies
  • Opportunities exist for teaching and program development
