Position Overview

We invite you to become an essential part of our team in Unity Hospital’s Level I, 21-bed Labor and Delivery Unit, which includes an 8-bed Special Care Nursery. You’ll join a collaborative and experienced group of four physicians and thirteen Advanced Practice Providers who are dedicated to the well-being of newborns.

Position Highlights

• Hands-On Clinical Role: Attend deliveries and provide immediate neonatal care, perform initial physical examinations, and diagnose and manage common neonatal conditions—all as part of a skilled, multidisciplinary team.
• Flexible Scheduling: Choose from 12-hour or 24-hour shifts to support your work-life balance.
• Collaborative Environment: Work alongside OB/GYNs, neonatologists, pediatric nurse practitioners (PNPs), anesthesiologists, and experienced nursing staff.
• High-Impact Opportunity: Play a key role in setting the standard for newborn care in a supportive, team-based setting with robust specialty support.

Qualifications

• Board Eligible or Board Certified in Pediatrics
• NRP Certification required

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: L - Light Work - Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly; requires occasional walking, standing or squatting.

LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS:

• Physician - New York State Education Department (NYSED)

PAY RANGE: $180,000.00 - $200,000.00

The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for successful applicants. It may be modified in the future. Pay is determined by factors including experience, clinical licensure date, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.
