Exciting Opportunity: Psychiatry – Addiction Psychiatry Specialist

What You’ll Do:
- Provide expert medical detoxification services for patients dealing with opiates and alcohol.
- Manage detox protocols utilizing medications such as Librium, Suboxone, Methadone, Sublocade, and Subutex.
- Collaborate with a dedicated team to ensure safe and effective addiction treatment.
- Work Monday through Friday, 7:30 am to 4:00 pm, with approximately two nights of overnight beeper call per week.
- Contribute to patient recovery and support continuous care beyond clinical hours.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Completed Addiction Medicine fellowship.
- Medical license in good standing in the state of practice.
- Experience in addiction medicine, especially managing medical detox protocols.
- Familiarity with medications including Librium, Suboxone, Methadone, Sublocade, and Subutex.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Nice to Have Skills:
- Previous experience in a hospital or outpatient addiction treatment setting.
- Certification in Addiction Medicine or related specialties.
- Knowledge of opioid treatment programs and regulations.
- Ability to handle emergent situations with confidence and professionalism.
Preferred Education & Experience:
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
- At least 2 years of post-residency experience in addiction medicine.
- Prior experience in a locum or temporary medical role is a plus.
Other Requirements:
- Must be available to start on or before May 6, 2026.
- Willingness to participate in periodic on-call duties and potentially flexible hours.
- Valid licensure and certifications applicable to practice in Everett.
