We are looking for a compassionate and skilled Hospitalist - Pediatrics to provide high-quality medical services for children, ensuring their safety, comfort, and recovery. What You'll Bring to the Table:
  • Active North Carolina medical license
  • Board-certified or board-eligible (within 3 years of residency completion) in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, or Med/Peds
  • Proven experience managing pediatric and neonatal patients with confidence and professionalism
  • Strong clinical skills including vent management, intubations, and EKG interpretation
  • Ability to respond promptly to hospital codes and emergencies
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills to coordinate with consulting specialists like cardiologists, nephrologists, and oncologists
  • Proficiency with EMR systems, specifically Meditech

Additional Skills That Are a Plus:
  • Experience in central line and arterial line placements
  • Ability to perform procedures such as electrocardioversion, lumbar puncture, paracentesis, thoracentesis, suturing minor lacerations, and I&D
  • Familiarity with open ICU protocols and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams

Preferred Education and Experience:
  • Medical degree from an accredited institution
  • Prior hospitalist experience in pediatrics or neonatal care preferred
  • Recent residency training in internal medicine, family medicine, or pediatric medicine

Other Requirements:
  • Willingness to work scheduled shifts from June 1-4, 8 PM to 8 AM
  • Ability to be responsive during hospital emergencies
  • Commitment to continuous learning and maintaining certifications
