Medical Director of PM&R in Palm Beach, Florida

This Physician leader will support a growing rehabilitation network serving Bethesda East, Bethesda West, and Boca Raton Regional Hospital, while collaborating closely with hospital leadership, physicians, therapy teams, and community partners to advance comprehensive rehabilitation care throughout the region.

  • Full-Time opportunity, hospital-employed leadership overseeing a rehabilitation service across the region consisting of three hospitals located within 20 minutes of one another
  • Requirements include MD/DO from an accredited institution, active and unrestrictive medical license (or eligibility for licensure by start date), and satisfactory completion of all required due diligence tasks and credentialing
  • Candidates must be Board Eligible/Board Certified in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R) with an ACGME-accredited Residency program in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation
  • Opportunity to lead the continued growth and expansion of inpatient, outpatient, and consultative rehabilitation services while developing strategic rehabilitation programming and enhancing community awareness throughout the region
  • Medical Director will oversee inpatient rehabilitation admissions, utilization management, and regulatory compliance to ensure adherence with CMS guidelines, IRF requirements, CARF standards, JCAHO surveys, AHCA reviews, and other rehabilitation accreditation initiatives
  • Position will work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams including physicians, advanced practice providers, nursing leadership, therapy services, hospital administration, and referring physicians to support high-quality, patient-centered rehabilitation care and operational excellence
  • Ideal candidates will demonstrate strong leadership and communication skills with experience in inpatient rehabilitation, physiatry program development, physician engagement, medical staff education, and building relationships across hospital systems and community rehabilitation programs

Located in Boynton Beach, Bethesda Hospital East provides compassionate, expert care to patients across Palm Beach County.
