Join Our Team as a Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Physician in Anchorage, Alaska!

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PMR) physician to provide exceptional inpatient rehab services at Providence St. Elias Specialty Hospital in Anchorage, AK. This is a unique opportunity to make a tangible impact in a state-of-the-art facility while working in the stunning natural environment of Alaska.

What You’ll Do:

• Provide inpatient physiatry care to up to 23 rehab patients per day in a leading CARF-accredited hospital.
• Collaborate with hospitalists and interdisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive patient-centered care.
• Conduct evaluations, develop treatment plans, and see patients a minimum of 3 times weekly as per CMS regulations.
• Work Monday through Friday, from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, with a flexible unpaid lunch break.

Required Skills:

• Valid medical license (Active, IMLC, or AK TEMP)
• Board Certification in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (BC)
• DEA registration
• Proven clinical skills in inpatient rehab settings
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities

Nice to Have Skills:

• Prior experience working in inpatient rehab or consultative capacities
• Familiarity with CMS regulations and patient panel management

Preferred Education and Experience:

• MD or DO degree from an accredited institution
• Minimum of 2 years of post-residency clinical experience in rehabilitation medicine

Other Requirements:

• Current CV for credentialing process
• Willingness to provide ongoing, consistent coverage for full-time needs
• Ability to coordinate with hospital staff for smooth patient care delivery
