What You Bring to the Role:

• Proven expertise in general anesthesia procedures
• Ability to independently manage diverse cases including ortho, labor & delivery, spine, GI, gynecology, urology, cath lab, interventional radiology, and bariatric surgeries
• Strong clinical skills with a focus on patient safety and quality care
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Current and valid medical license in Iowa or willingness to obtain via IMLC
• Certification in anesthesia (board certification preferred)
• Flexibility to work scheduled shifts and on-call hours as specified

Nice to Have Skills:

• Experience with EPIC EMR system
• Prior locum or hospital-based anesthesia practice
• Additional certifications relevant to specialized procedures or advanced care

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
• Minimum of 2+ years of anesthesia practice in a hospital setting
• Previous experience with diverse surgical procedures and emergency cases

Other Requirements:

• Valid Iowa medical license or eligibility through IMLC
• Willingness to cover shifts at Mercy Council Bluffs starting May 16, 2026
• Travel and lodging arrangements will be supported; provider must specify any travel restrictions or preferences
• Ability to undergo credentialing within 60 days of engagement
