The Department of Anesthesiology at West Virginia University School of Medicine seeks a Director of Obstetric Anesthesiology for appointment at the Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor level in Morgantown, WV.
This is an outstanding opportunity to lead a growing academic obstetric anesthesia program within a nationally recognized health system and academic medical center.
Position Highlights
- Leadership role overseeing Obstetric Anesthesiology services
- Practice in a high-volume academic medical center
- Collaborate with OB/GYN, Neonatology, Nursing, and hospital leadership
- Lead clinical quality, safety, and protocol development initiatives
- Participate in high-risk obstetric anesthesia care
- Teach and mentor residents, fellows, and medical students
- Opportunities for clinical, translational, and educational research
- Faculty appointment commensurate with experience
Qualifications
- MD or DO degree (or foreign equivalent)
- Board Certified/Eligible in Anesthesiology
- Completion of Anesthesiology residency required
- Fellowship training in Obstetric Anesthesiology preferred
- Eligible for West Virginia medical licensure
