Salem Hospital, a community hospital and member of Mass General Brigham, is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Pain Clinic Physician to join our multidisciplinary Pain Management Center.

Schedule: 0.75 FTE (approximately 30 hours/week)

Position Summary

Salem Hospital, a community hospital and member of Mass General Brigham, is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Pain Clinic Physician to join our multidisciplinary Pain Management Center. This is a 0.75 FTE position focused on the evaluation, treatment, and longitudinal management of patients with acute and chronic pain conditions.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive outpatient pain management services, including patient evaluation, treatment planning, and follow-up care
  • Perform interventional pain procedures as appropriate to training and credentialing
  • Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team including anesthesiologists, physiatrists, behavioral health providers, physical therapists, and nursing staff
  • Utilize evidence-based approaches to improve patient outcomes and enhance quality of life
  • Document all patient encounters and procedures in the electronic health record in a timely manner
  • Participate in departmental meetings, quality improvement initiatives, and continuing medical education activities
  • Provide occasional consultation support for inpatient pain management needs as appropriate

Qualifications

  • MD or DO degree and board certification (or board eligibility) in Anesthesiology, Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, Neurology, or Psychiatry
  • Fellowship training in Pain Medicine (or equivalent experience) required
  • Eligible for or currently hold a Massachusetts medical license and DEA registration
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and team collaboration skills
  • Commitment to high-quality, patient-centered care
