What You’ll Need to Succeed:

• Board Certification in General Surgery
• Active North Carolina Medical License and NC DEA Registration
• Proven experience with hernia repair, cholecystectomy, breast surgery, abscess drainage, endoscopy (EGD and colonoscopy), appendectomy, small bowel, and colon surgeries
• Clean background with no recent or open malpractice cases
• Ability to provide Malpractice Insurance coverage in daily rate
• Demonstrated compliance with Medicare, Medicaid, and PECOS enrollment standards
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset

Nice to Have Skills:

• Prior experience in hospitalist or on-call surgical support
• Familiarity with Meditech 6.1 EMR system
• Military service or VA experience
• Bilingual capabilities to serve diverse patient populations

Preferred Education & Experience:

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree
• Minimum of [X] years of surgical practice, with recent relevant experience
• Prior work experience with agency-credentialed providers, especially in similar clinical settings

Other Requirements:

• Willingness to serve on call, with response time within 20 minutes of the facility
• Availability for 24-hour call shifts on specified dates
• On-site hospital-sponsored housing preferred (apartments provided, cable and Wi-Fi included)
• Travel expenses capped at $500
• Provider must be fully credentialed with Medicare, Medicaid, and enrolled with PECOS
• Complete necessary licensure, certifications, and malpractice insurance before start
• Experience or willingness to provide four hours of gratis service daily, preferably in bulk
