The College of Osteopathic Medicine at Baptist Health Sciences University (BUCOM) invites applications for a full-time Faculty position in the Department of Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine primarily for our clinical OMM service (hospital and outpatient office).

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DETAILS:
· Provide clinical care in OMM settings (outpatient and inpatient) to maintain proficiency and support clinical education.
· Deliver instruction in OPP/OMM across all four years of the DO curriculum, including large and small group settings, clinical labs, and simulation.
· Serve as Course Director or Co-Director as assigned.
· Participate in curriculum development, implementation, assessment, and continuous improvement.
· Advise and mentor students academically, professionally, and in research or scholarly activities.
· Engage in service to the college and community through committee work, admissions activities, events, and outreach.
· Contribute to scholarly activity through research, publications, presentations, or educational innovation. Engaging in a balanced mix of teaching, research, service, administration, and clinical practice, tailored annually to faculty goals and institutional needs.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
· DO or MD degree with AOA board certification or board eligibility.
· Board certification/Board eligibility in Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine/Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine (NMM/OMM).
· Unrestricted certification/licensure to teach/practice in the State of Tennessee; if DO or MD, must have ability to obtain an active and unrestricted medical license in the state where clinical activities occur.
· Experience teaching in a College of Osteopathic Medicine or Graduate Medical Education setting.

BUCOM is part of the Baptist Memorial Health Care (BMHC) system which is one of the largest health care systems and the largest provider of Medicaid in the region. Primary hospital assignments are determined through a selection process in year 2 (OMS-2). Students will complete the majority of their OMS-3 and OMS-4 clinical rotations within Baptist’s system. During clinical training, students will be required to participate in orientation at their clinical training sites and learn the hospital’s policies and procedures. Students must also meet the requirements to enter clinical training per the clinical affiliation agreement.
Ultimately, the BUCOM will prepare future DOs for their required internships, residencies and fellowships, eventually leading to licensure and board certification.
