What You’ll Do

• Provide inpatient and outpatient neurosurgery coverage at a clinic-based facility
• Cover complex spine cases as part of the neurosurgery service line
• Participate in clinic coverage during scheduled weekday hours
• Maintain on-call responsibilities, including weeknight beeper call and weekend 24-hour call
• Respond to call-backs as required by the schedule and coverage needs
• Meet facility requirements for privileging, including case volume submission during the privileging process
• Provide documentation support as needed (e.g., updated CV with hospital affiliations)

What You Need
Required

• Active or IMLC license
• DEA (required)
• Board Certified (preferred/looking at BC) or Board Eligible within 3–5 years of residency
• Fluoro certification required (temp fluoro allowed)
• Current CV uploaded for credentialing/privileging
• Ability to meet privileging requirements including 100 cases within the past 24 months specific to requested privileges
• 2 years of current hospital clinical activity in the specialty (noted for all HBS specialties)

Preferred

• Strong experience managing complex spine cases
• Clean credentialing readiness (updated CV with all hospital affiliations; case logs available)

About the Assignment
This locums neurosurgery assignment in Eureka, CA includes inpatient and outpatient coverage with a mix of clinic and call. Weekdays run 8:30am–5:00pm (clinic responsibility included in the regular hourly rate), followed by 5:00pm–8:30am night call the next day; weekends provide 24-hour call coverage. Coverage dates are Nov 21–Dec 8 and Dec 27–Jan 5 (with clinic attendance possible to vary across days during the listed dates).
