Job Description:

We are seeking a highly qualified Pediatric Hospitalist for urgent locum tenens coverage in Eureka, CA. This role requires providers with a clean malpractice history and clear NPDB reports to ensure eligibility for privileges at the hospital. The position involves inpatient call coverage only, with a 24-hour beeper call schedule. The shifts are from 6 am to 6 am for specified dates, including June 25-29, July 2-7, July 23-27, and July 30-August 1. The provider is expected to manage neonatal airway emergencies such as intubation, UVC/UAC placement, chest tube insertion in neonates, and other emergent pediatric procedures. Preference is given to candidates experienced in ventilator management and chest tube insertion for neonates.

Requirements:

• Active California medical license
• DEA license
• Board Certified or Board Eligible within 3-5 years of residency
• Current CV with all hospital affiliations uploaded
• NRP certification required
• Must have current hospital clinical activity in the specialty for at least 2 years
• Ability to handle neonatal airway management, including intubation and management of neonatal air leaks/pneumothorax
• Successful completion of privileging requirements and documentation
