St. Peter’s Health Partners Medical Associates is seeking to recruit an early-to-mid career board-certified Cardiothoracic Surgeon to join our Cardiac Surgery program at St. Peter’s Hospital in Albany, NY. This hospital-employed opportunity offers the chance to join a team of 25+ employed Cardiologists and four full-time Cardiac Surgeons. There is a robust referral network from both employed and independent regional cardiology practices, with a large geographic catchment area that includes Southern Vermont and Western Massachusetts. The clinic and surgical office are conveniently located on the St. Peter’s Hospital campus. The program also features strong Surgical PA support, with 24/7 coverage in a large, modern hospital facility.

St. Peter’s Hospital is a leader in the New York Capital Region for cardiac care. Our comprehensive cardiology services include Non-Invasive, Electrophysiology, Interventional, Structural, and Thoracic specialties.

The Cardiac Surgery program draws from a broad tri-state area, centered in the Capital District of New York. The team enjoys excellent outcomes based on STS ratings. Services range from minimally invasive surgery to more complex procedures requiring combinations of traditional and advanced techniques. Covering all aspects of cardiac care, except for transplantation, our surgical results have consistently surpassed both the state and national standards.

Qualifications:

  • Board Certification (ABTS) in Cardiothoracic Surgery
  • Minimum 4–5 years post-training experience
  • Minimally invasive cardiac surgery and/or robotic experience preferred but not required
  • NYS license or eligibility
  • Unable to sponsor H-1B or J-1 candidates

Recruitment Package:

  • Starting Salary: 950k-975K
  • The posted salary reflects the starting range of total compensation and does not include productivity bonuses, incentives related to quality and performance, extra shift incentives, and other forms of cash compensation as applicable to the position. In addition, providers typically receive a CME allowance and other benefits offered by their medical group employer. Please note that this salary range is provided in accordance with State law and is subject to variation due to the factors noted above.
