Job Title: Orthopaedic Surgery

Job Description:

We are seeking a qualified Orthopaedic Surgeon for a temporary assignment from June 26, 2026, to July 1, 2026. The provider will perform general orthopedic surgery with a 24-hour call requirement. The hospital is currently on Meditech expansion. Board certification is required, and candidates must include their NPI# in their bid. An active NC medical license and NC DEA license (with NC address) are mandatory. Providers must also be vaccinated.

Responsibilities include:

• Managing 0-3 consults per day
• Handling 0-2 ED visits for closed reductions and admissions
• Performing 0-2 surgeries daily, including wrist, ankle, and hip fractures, as well as I&D procedures
• Stabilizing Long bone trauma for transfer
• Completing gratis hours, capped at 4
• Utilizing hospital-owned individual apartments onsite, equipped with cable and Wi-Fi

Additional Details:

• Travel expenses are capped at $500, covering airfare, rental car, or mileage (not both)
• Provider must reside within 20 minutes of the hospital at all times while on call
• Credentialing with Medicaid/Medicare and enrollment via PECOS are required

Hourly Pay Rate: $1.00
