LOCUMS OB Hospitalist Opportunity In Greenville, NC

ECU Health Physicians and ECU Health Medical Center are seeking Board Certified OBGYNs to provide locums OB Hospitalist coverage. The successful candidates will provide labor and delivery care at ECU Health Medical Center.

Schedule

Inpatient coverage needed for (11) 24-hour shifts per month in house during the entire shift.

This opportunity offers flexibility and the ability to tailor the schedule based on provider availability. We are committed to working collaboratively with our locum providers and are open to flexible scheduling options, including adjustments to shift structure and hours to best meet both provider preferences and departmental needs.

Highlights:

  • Inpatient only
  • Shift will include ED consults, GYN service, emergent GYN surgeries, and labor and delivery 
  • Established practice inclusive of 27 physicians and 9 Advanced Practice Providers
  • NICU support provided by the Maynard Children’s Hospital located at ECU Health Medical Center
  • Schedule will include call, nights, and weekends
  • Call will be shared with other OBGYN Generalists within the OBGYN department and with a Certified Nurse Midwife
  • Average inpatient census: 50
  • Average number of admissions per day: 10
  • Average number of admissions per night: 5
  • BLS required
  • Volume of surgical casers per month: 10 a month per surgeon
  • Will the LT respond to codes: Yes
  • Will the LT be expected to serve as ack up in the ER: Locums will serve as back up to ER because LT will be covering ED consults
  • What % of visits become admissions: 10%

Required procedures:

Cesarean delivery, D&C (obstetric and gynecologic), Diagnostic and Operative laparoscopy, urgent/emergent gynecologic cases
