GYN/ONC Directorship – Stamford Hospital / Stamford Health

Stamford Hospital is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible gynecologic oncologist to serve as Director of Gynecologic Oncology within the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. The successful candidate will join a strong, well-established program and help lead its continued expansion.

Stamford Health maintains a formal collaboration with Dana Farber Brigham Cancer Center, offering access to virtual second opinions, clinical trials, and advanced evidence-based cancer care. Stamford Hospital is a major teaching affiliate of the Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons, with independent residency programs including OB/GYN.

Position Overview

  • Leadership of a growing gynecologic oncology program
  • 90% clinical / 10% administrative effort
  • Teaching and mentorship of OB/GYN residents and medical students
  • Multidisciplinary collaboration with medical, surgical, and radiation oncology
  • Two OR days weekly; access to three robotic platforms
  • Light call (1 week in 4), shared with urogynecology team
  • Chemotherapy administered by onsite medical oncologists
  • EPIC EMR
  • A second gynecologic oncologist is planned with the opening of Stamford Health’s new cancer center in 2028.
