Join our Team at the Department of Veterans VA Community Based Outpatient Clinic, Santa Rosa, CA as a Physician – Psychiatrist!
The Staff Psychiatry Physician, is assigned to Santa Rosa and Clearlake as part of the VA San Francisco Health Care System (VASFHCS), Mental Health Service, providing comprehensive, efficient, compassionate, high quality healthcare to all patients, functioning as a member of the Behavioral Health Interdisciplinary Program team providing clinical care to the patients at the Clearlake and Santa Rosa Clinics. As a Staff Psychiatry Physician, the responsibilities include providing psychiatric evaluation and treatment in collaboration with other members of the health care team. Adult Psychiatry board eligibility or board certification is required.
Major duties include but may not be limited to:
- Provide outpatient care for Veterans in the Clearlake and Santa Rosa Community-Based Outpatient Clinic (CBOC)
- Participate in an effective clinical program with attention to patient outcome indicators
- Practice within the scope of assigned privileges.
- Comply with the bylaws, rules and regulations of the facility and agency.
- Meet medical staff criteria for initial appointment and reappointment, including ongoing CME.
- Comply with prescribed record keeping practices in accordance with the rules, regulations and bylaws.
- Comply with prescribed information security policy and procedures.
- Work effectively with patients, families, staff, coworkers and other health care professionals.
- Participate in Medical Service educational activities and scheduled meetings.
- Comply with assigned Peer Reviews and maintaining quality assurance standards.
- Complete all assigned health record reviews, peer reviews, etc., within the identified timeframes.
- Additional duties as assigned.

The Santa Rosa VA Outpatient Clinic offers a wide range of preventive and primary care. The Clinic is committed to serving Veterans in the Sonoma County community. The clinic is open Monday - Friday from 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

Free round-trip shuttle service is provided Monday - Friday from Santa Rosa VA Clinic to the San Francisco VA Medical Center.
