What You’ll Do
  • Provide urgent orthopaedic trauma care, including wrist, ankle, and hip fractures
  • Perform closed reductions in the Emergency Department
  • Manage and stabilize long bone trauma, transfer as needed
  • Assist with patient consultations and admissions related to orthopaedic injuries
  • Cover 24-hour on-call duties, with a cap of 4 gratis hours per shift
  • Collaborate with hospital staff and ensure timely patient transfers
  • Provide onsite consults and surgeries within scope, including I&D procedures

What You Need
  • Active NC Medical License and NC DEA (NC address)
  • Board Certification in Orthopaedic Surgery
  • Minimum 2 years of trauma or general orthopedic surgical experience
  • Comfortable with emergency orthopedic procedures and trauma stabilization
  • Must be vaccinated against COVID-19
  • Must reside within 20 minutes of the hospital during on-call hours
  • Enrolled with Medicare/Medicaid and PECOS as a provider
