Pediatric Surgical Epileptologist

Memphis, Tennessee


Work-Life Balance: Dedicated inpatient epilepsy monitoring service blocks with no outpatient clinic responsibilities while on service, allowing focused patient care and improved work-life balance.

Desirable Practice Setting: Join one of the nation's premier pediatric epilepsy programs within a nationally recognized Neuroscience Institute featuring 27 Neurology and Neuroscience faculty members.

Ideal Work Environment: Practice alongside 6 Pediatric Epileptologists, 3 Pediatric Neurosurgeons, Neuropsychologists, Neuroradiologists, and dedicated epilepsy support staff in a highly collaborative environment.

Favorable Call Schedule: Approximately 8 weeks of EMU service annually with dedicated inpatient blocks and integrated epilepsy coverage responsibilities.

Culture & Support, Support & Networking: Work within a Level IV Epilepsy Center that has maintained its designation for more than 15 years and attracts referrals from over 40 states and internationally.

Partnership Opportunities, Leadership Opportunities, Professional Growth Opportunities: Participate in a highly active epilepsy surgery program with 1 to 2 surgical evaluations weekly, multidisciplinary epilepsy surgery conferences, resident education, clinical research, and future program development opportunities.

Qualifications

Degree: MD or DO

Certifications: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Child Neurology with fellowship training in Epilepsy or Clinical Neurophysiology.

Licensure: Eligible for Tennessee medical licensure.

Skillset: Interest in epilepsy surgery, multidisciplinary surgical planning, EEG interpretation, and comprehensive epilepsy care.

Experience: Completion of Child Neurology residency training and fellowship training in Epilepsy or Clinical Neurophysiology.

Sponsorship: J-1 waiver and H-1B visa sponsorship available for qualified candidates.
