Job Description

The University of Texas at Tyler School of Medicine is seeking a PRN Inpatient Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R) Physician to join its rehabilitation team at the 49-bed UT Health East Texas Rehabilitation Center in Tyler, Texas.

 

 The ideal candidate will have an interest in academics and the ability to provide high-quality and compassionate care to complex patients.

 

 

About Your Work:

  • Inpatient
  • Join an experienced team that includes 1 nurse practitioner, physical therapists, nurses, support staff
  • Potential Hours: Mon-Fri, 8 a.m.-5 p.m.
  • Daily Patient Load: 16-20
  • EMR: Epic
  • Opportunities for outpatient clinic if desired

Certifications: UT Health East Texas Rehabilitation Center is a Joint Commission-accredited facility for Limb Loss and Stroke Rehabilitation.

  • UT Health East Texas Rehabilitation Hospital is a 49-bed facility in Tyler offering intensive, specialized therapy for patients recovering from stroke, injury, or surgery, supported by full system resources and outpatient services. It has earned the Get With The Guidelines–Stroke Gold Plus Award, Target: Type 2 Honor Roll, and a 25-year Texas Hospital Association membership honor.

The University of Texas at Tyler School of Medicine is the first medical school in East Texas and the seventh in The University of Texas System.
